These are the Peanut Butter Noodles. I did not use udon noodles, I had rice noodles that needed to be used instead. That was the only thing I did different in the recipe and I will make this from now on and on a regular basis.
One of the most distinctive customs in Thailand is the wai. It is used to show greeting, farewell or acknowledgment, it generally involves a prayer-like gesture with the hands and a bow of the head. And did you know that it's considered rude to touch someone on the head? It's also considered rude to step on a coin because the king's head appears on coins. It is also customary to remove your shoes before entering someone's house and you should not step directly on the threshold.
This is a picture of Bob's Thai Beef Salad. I modified this recipe by adding tomatoes and chopped cilantro. I also sliced 2 serrano chiles instead of using Thai chiles. Thai chiles are very hot and I wanted my husband to be able to enjoy this as he isn't able to tolerate a lot of spicy heat at this point in time. I did not use the 1 cup of fish sauce after reading the reviews of this recipe, I used approximately 1/4 cup instead.
Thai New Year Songkran is observed from April 13-15 each year. The primary religion is Buddhism.
The capitol of Thailand is Bangkok. It has been said that there are more eating establishments per square mile in Bangkok than anywhere else on Earth.
And this was dinner tonight! YUMMY! I love the fresh taste of the vegetables combined with the warm beef and the salty fish sauce. I think next time I make Peanut Butter Noodles, I will try the udon noodles, as I can't remember ever having them before and I'm curious.
